Supermodel Sessilee Lopez is best known for being one of the four cover models of ’08s famed Vogue Italia “Black Issue”. And now she’s rocking the pages of Latina magazine and talking about the rumors of her being Kanye West’s new chick and other ish.

Sessilee On Kayne West:

“Me and Kanye are just friends,” she says, for the record. “He’s a great guy. I’m attracted to the way he thinks. It’s a great quality to be creative and not be afraid to voice that.”

Sessilee On Working with Tyra Banks:

“I was like a sponge when I worked with her,” Lopez says. “She told me, ‘You have to let the public as well as the fashion world know who you are.’

Sessilee On Modeling:

“Modeling is such a competitive business,” Lopez says. “Some girls get territorial; others get stressed out and start doing drugs to keep the weight off. I don’t want to mention any names, but I was once shoved onto the runway in one of my early shows; another time, an older model had the photographer fire me from a shoot just because I spoke to her. It’s comical, but we do sometimes have beefs to the point of sabotage. I suppose it’s because some models don’t realize that they can’t be the hot girl of the moment forever. I was partying hard and got a big head. I just thought, ‘It’s always going to be like this.’ I didn’t realize I wasn’t being as consistent as the other girls.”

Sessilee On being a Dominican model:

“Fashion is very black and white,” she says. “It doesn’t pay attention to heritage much. They don’t see me as a Dominican girl. They just see the color of my skin. It can be hard, because it’s your heritage and you want to be appreciated for it, but it’s just modeling, so I don’t let it get to me.

YBF BLIND ITEM!

Apparently crack isn’t that wack for this diva.   A driver she used during a recent awards weekend dished to YBF that said diva thinks no one saw her doing lines of cocaine in the back of the car.  Which is probably why her attitude was more foul than usual all weekend.  A new look doesn’t get rid of old habits.  Neither does a recent breakup with a boyfriend.  Looks like she’ll be getting “down and dirty” at least until her next album drops.  And no, we’re not talking about Whitney…

Are You Ready For “The Girlfriends Of Atlanta”?

Everybody in Atlanta wants to be a star.  And apparently these chicks are getting picked up by a major network for a new reality show called “The Girlfriends of Atlanta”:

Sigh.  I have no clue why or who or what the reasoning is behind this is.  But it reeks of possible foolywang material.  According to Atlanta Gossip, the show consist of four ladies: Renee aka “Diva,” Regina, Monica and Lyschel who are all busy working professionals and entrepreneurs making a name for themselves in the ATL. Ummm….ok.

And if this oh so graceful car exit by “Ms. Diva” is any indication of the classiness that will ensue, we may just have to watch for the laughs.

Morning Perks: 50 Cent, Lil Wayne & Bobby Brown

50 Cent has been named the 2nd richest African American Entertainer by Forbes magazine.  The criteria Forbes used to rank folks isn’t really that clear, but it seems like it could be based off ’08’s earnings only.  He made an estimated $150 million thanks to more Vitamin Water sales and other business ventures.  He’s second behind Oprah and ranks ahead of Tyler Perry and others.  Maybe Rick Ross‘ baby mama should have asked him for some stock options instead of those Gucci shoes and fur.  Just sayin’…

Bobby Brown is speaking out about his pregnant girlfriend Alicia Etheridge.  He tells People, that he’s “really excited about the new addition” and his lawyers say they’re happy because he’s actually sober and clean.  I guess that’s a cause to celebrate.  Congrats to Bobby and Alicia.

Katie Couric hit up “Regis and Kelly” today and spoke about her Pre-Grammy interview special (airing tonight) with Lil Wayne.  She admitted that she was scared of him.  Until he said “Ms. Katie, I’m a gangster.”  She says the fact he called her “Ms. Katie” and was so nice and polite, she loosened up.  Ha.  By the way, she dished that Weezy owns his own line of bowling balls and bowling gloves–that’s why they chose bowling as their interview activity.

SPOTTED: Beyonce, Whitney Houston & Audra McDonald

YBF folks were spotted doing what they do in LA and New York this week:

Whitney Houston was spotted looking pretty together leaving a medical center in LA yesterday.  I wonder what she thinks about Bobby’s umpteenth child being on the way…

Beyonce was spotted on her way to jeweler Lorraine Schwartz’s dinner party in NYC a few days ago.  Rocking a long grey Herve Leger evening gown with her grey Casadei shoes and a dark grey coat.  Chick needs some color…but she looks fab nonetheless.

And Audra McDonald was spotted on the set of her show “Private Practice” yesterday with her co-star Kate Walsh.  Loves that show.  And she’s def a YBF chick.

Looks like she was about to pop off on the paparazzi.  Gotta love her.

Beyonce looked nice at Lorraine Schwartz’s dinner in NY.  According to Women’s Wear Daily, Lorraine said about Beyonce: "She's my muse.  She's the best canvas an artist can have."

Lorraine outfitted B in jewels most recently for the Golden Globes and Inauguration night and tons of other events in the past.

And speaking of B, here’s her new L’Oreal ad.

And Audra McDonald’s still getting her “Private Practice” on.  Nice.
